Today was the first day that I am officially in Europe, or at least the first day I was fully awake. First we started our day going to the Zaanse schans. This was a unique experience for me the Museum was like taken out of a movie. I did so many things that I never thought I would do. One of them was playing with stilts (see picture) and it was harder than it looks I could barely balance but I managed to take at least one step. In the museum I also got to see how they make the popular wooden shoes and tried the best cheese I have ever had. Also at the museum I learned of a new Christmas character black peter and saw how the Dutch kids love him more than Saint Nicolas (santa). After the museum we past by a soccer stadium and got to see how many people love soccer like I do. Walking to the restaurant I saw amazing architecture and decorations getting ready for Christmas. At dinner we went to a Cuban restaurant that was delicious. The restaurant had a really amazing system it was tapas like a buffet but with waiters and it wasn't full dishes but like little appetizers that you could eat till your full. This was a unique experience that I wouldn’t have ever gotten to do if I hadn’t come to the Netherlands. Something peculiar from this restaurant was that the water wasn't free and that it more expensive than beer. At the end of the day I enjoyed my first day and cant wait for what’s coming next.
